1. Identify the tube.
2. Place the tube in the anti-burn holder and open it.
3. Collect the sample.
4. Pour the sample into the tube.
5. Fill the sample up to the bottom of the label.
   › Attention: Always use the anti-burn holder to avoid burns.
6. Samples collected at room temperature can be heated (microwave or water bath).
7. Close the tube with the cap.
8. Shake the tube until the reagent completely dissolves and mixes.
9. Wait 2 minutes for the reaction to occur.
10. Compare the results with the provided color scale.
11. Discard the oil if the result exceeds 25% polar compounds (color 5).
12. Record the results in the provided record sheet.
13. Keep the used test for future reference.
